I’m not a fan of selfies, mostly of myself, but what a great jumping off point on my goal with #the100dayproject community.
As the unofficial family photographer, I’m not often in the photo.
No photo of me on my birthday? That’s okay, I’ll try to take one of myself. And I did! This one was the best of 5 and it was the only one with the sun’s rays captured, so it seemed like it was meant to be.
I’m not in love with my extra weight nor crinkly neck and jowls, but I am in love with the gift of so many new days to celebrate all the good things in life!

Just thinking of all the days I’ve watched them walk up to Nana’s and Papa’s together to swim brings a smile to my face. And yes, they argued then, and now, over who’s going to be the first one to jump off the diving board...which usually means that about 20 feet from the spot on the driveway in the photo, they start running to see who can get there first.
If you know her in real life, you know she’s a hugger and has been since she was old enough to give one. And they’re they best hugs ever!
Isabella likes a hug to be her idea, then hugging is okay, but she gets a little annoyed with her Uber-aggressive hugging sister some days. So yeah, I love this photo. And just look how young they are!
