Currently Journaling in 2020
I'll be adding some new activities to my 2020 Creative Projects Calendar and this CURRENTLY journal card set is one of them! What a fun little peek into the year it will be come this time next year.
I began by printing off three sets of cards. And you know that I couldn't leave them plain Jane, so then I added some thin washi tape strips to the bottom of each of the cards. I usually add the washi tape after I trim out all the journal cards but think now that I tried it this way that its a much easier solution.
For the cover, I am using this free printable which I printed onto patterned paper instead of just the standard white cardstock.
Here's my newest Currently card, dated December 15th:
Sadly, I only documented my CURRENTLY nine times in 2019, but that's all going to change in 2020! Feel free to print yourself off a few cards and document your currently thoughout the new year.

Junk Journal January
I'll be playing along with the #junkjournaljanuary challenge as one of my creative projects for January 2020 because I had so much fun with #junkjournaljuly. Do you see that teal blue spiral binding? So fun! And the inside pages, oh my...you're going to love them.
SHOW ME THE PAGES
Inside the pocket formed by the folded lime green polka dotted paper bag, I tucked a "Don't Forget" Project Life journal card, which comes with the journal by the way.And then I added in tons of fun pages with endless opportunities...leave them as is or embellish with the included kit.
THE EMBELLISHMENT KIT IS INCLUDED
You know that I love me some layers and texture, so I try to include items in my kits that work together but aren't too matchy matchy.
I personally adore the book page shipping tag I created by adding a kraft paper circle and punching a hole to mimic the originals. What do you think? And do you see that kraft paper shaped sticker, another one of my favorite new finds!
See how perfectly the tag fits on the page for the "upcycled" prompt?

Movies To Watch On A Quiet Afternoon
Soooo, what movies do you like to watch on quiet afternoons? Do you rewatch old favorites, search out something new and quirky and totally out of your usual genre or do you go to your To Watch list and pick one?
SHOW ME THE LIST
Day 15
I’ve been using quite a few tags and printable in my journal this month and today was no different. The number 15 and the green scalloped tag are printables from my shop and I snagged the red tag from the shop as well.
I layered my number 15 on top of a retro style sticker that holds my list prompt.
THE JOURNAL I'M USING
I'm using a 4x8 Tall + Skinny mixed paper journal with embellishment kit for this month's challenge...which is definitely different than my usual 4x6 journals I've used in the past. And after what? 20 challenges, it's not so bad to mix it up and try something new.

30 Days of Lists | Days 8 - 12
I've been using a 4x8 tall + skinny mini book for the December 30 Days of Lists challenge. I usually use a 4x6 journal, like this one or this one, so this is a new adventure for me...and I have loved going in a new direction.
SHOW ME THE LISTS
Day 8
How I Spend My Time
More printables, more fun!
I'll be adding those green stickers in an embellishment kit to the shop soon, but I just had to test them out for myself...you're going to love them. For my page I used the HO HO HO round and the Santa tag as well as label and arrow die cuts.
Day 9
Things I See Every Day That Make Me Smile
How could I do justice to this sparkly red glitter paper, I thought to myself. Somehow, I think I did okay with it.
I had a brainstorm to use a white gel pen on the colored journaling card and then the "sweet" round on the metal rimmed tag just seemed like the perfect little bit of icing on the cake to finish this page up.
Day 10
The Changing of the Seasons
I used two different printable sets, the #10 and the Baby It’s Cold Outside round on the metal rimmed tag.
The page comes already embellished with the washi tape so if you didn't want to do anything further, you're still set!
Day 11
What would you put in a time capsule? Yeah, not so easy to answer, right?
I typed out my answers because I knew I wouldn’t be able to write small enough to fit inside a 1" circle, then printed and punched them and used foam dots to attach them to my page.
I placed my journal rounds off center from the white circles in the patterned paper for a little design interest.
Day 12
What have you been wanting to try again?
As I’ve been clearing out my studio of supplies that no longer make my heart sing, I found my jewelry making supplies. So I’d like to find some time to sit down, get creative and use all those beads and stones I’ve purchased.
I added some more of the book page to the left side of my page with a number 12 printable.

Christmas Memories Journal
Striped Travelers Notebook | Jolly Tag
Music Sheet
I've been using this A6 Travelers Notebook insert to document a few of my Christmas memories. I prepped some pages a while back and knew that I was going to share a few holiday stories, but wasn't sure how to go about that.
Then, I saw a doodle challenge on Instagram and even though I am not a doodler in any way on any day, I really loved some of the prompts. I think they're the perfect jump off points to telling some wonderful stories about our family traditions.
I bet that you have your own stories to capture and document and I encourage you to do that, somehow, some day. It's a decision you won't regret.
SETTING UP MY JOURNAL PAGES
I set up all my pages in advance just because I had a chunk of time on my hands...but mostly because I just kinda love that sort of thing. You know, just diving in without knowing where you're going with a project and then adding and layering until you {think} you have it just right.
- I began by pulling out some stamps, using those as the background for each page spread.
- Then, I printed some images on vellum instead my regular go to white cardstock. Some of the images I fussy cut around and attached to my page and others I then tore with a jagged edge.
- And how could I not add a little bit of gold foil washi tape to add a bit of festivity?
- With a black pen, I outlined in random spots around the page in a haphazard, sloppy sort of way.
- And then when I thought I was all finished, I had the bright idea to pull out my Dymo label maker and punch out the journal prompts.
SHOW ME THE LISTS
Even though I've jotted down some quick thoughts about Christmas tree memories through the years, I could probably fill this whole journal about all the stories packed away in my head. And I might do that some day, because if we don't write it down, we might forget the stories.
Oh how we do love our hot cocoa. The old fashioned kind that you heat up on the stove, made with shaved chocolate or cocoa powder. We cheat by using the canned whipped cream most of the time, but there's fun in that, too, squeezing a tall mountain of whipped cream and watching it melt into the hot cocoa.
We do love us some sparkly, colorful holiday decorations! Well, I like the white lights the best but am a fan of our family tradition of riding around town searching out new displays and decorated yards.
I'll be back later this month to share more of my Christmas Memories Journal.

Then you might be interested in joining along with the 30 Days of Lists challenge. It's a fun community...we all love capturing our right now stories through journal prompts. Find out more info and register here. {affiliate link} I've been a fan and have joined in the challenges for years and think that you'll enjoy this creative process as much as I have.
SHOW ME THE LISTS
Day 1This vellum page has gold polka dots and I ran with the gold theme using some bright paper to hold my journaling. The green "one" paper punch die cut is part of this printable set.
I used the red arrow polka dot that came in the embellishment kit to attach the paper strip to the page and added some random gold sequins - also from the embellishment kit - around the page.
Day 2
There's a whole lotta printables action going on here, so let's get started. I began by adding some random washi tape strips to the side of where I knew I was going to place my tag - I used one of the tags in this printable set - and then around the edges of the page.
I also added the same gold striped washi tape to the bottom of my tag and also a skinny strip of black, too.
Day 3
I could have gone on and on, but ran out of room. Oh yeah, do you have any cookie monsters in your house like we do?
