You know that I love a mini book, list prompts and finding a little time each day to be crafty. Well, for me, the 30 Days of Lists challenge is a perfect mix of all these things all rolled into one project.
I generally use a mini book from the shop, using the embellishment kit that comes with them to fancy up a few pages before I even begin listing.
I like {love} the process of coordinating bits and baubles to my page designs. And of course I'm always on the hunt for even more goodies to make my texture-loving and layer-loving heart happy.
MINI BOOK SMORGASBORD
The mini books I've listed below have 30 pages, but if you're not opposed to using both the front and back of your journal pages, most any of the mini books in the shop would be fun choices. I've even used a travelers notebook for one of the December 30 Lists challenges, read all about that here, thinking it would be more streamlined for me during a busy time.
With each new 30 Lists challenge, the next one is in September, I create a unique 30-page journal for me to use and then several more for sale in the shop. So, no worries if there's not one in inventory that you are loving right now...new journals are always being listed. The journal I'll use for the September challenge will be available for purchase beginning July 30th.
GETTING MY JOURNAL PREPPED
See that folded over kraft bag? I like to tuck a "this is me right now" type of card inside.
I used this Months Tabs instant download file and this journaling card set {contains the right now word phrase}. Here's where you can find a collection of 4 Pink Scallop Journaling Cards.
SHOW ME THE LISTS
Day 1So that I wouldn't cover up the gorgeous gold foil and floral design, I wrote my list on vellum and ended up attaching it with some gold glitter washi tape.
Day 3
Day 4
The free printable was designed as a 4x6, see below, but when I printed it out on letter size paper, I learned a new trick...the 1" circles printed as 2" and everything else just printed larger. Fun, fun!
Day 5
Oh my gosh, pink gingham! Love, love, love. I actually have a pink gingham shirt and when I wear it I feel like a million bucks. And Gordon ALWAYS says, "Oh look, Mommy has on her favorite shirt."
Ha.
Day 6
After trimming my journaling card to fit inside my yellow polka dotted bag, I added a word phrase and a page flag die cut {coming soon to the shop}.
Day 7
Goals, man, they get you every time.
Day 8
I'm a sucker for these vintage style library cards for journaling. I would guess that I add them to 3 out of 4 journals I create.
Day 10
Another list, another tag. Keep it clean and simple, adding just a strip of washi tape.
Day 11
I used a striped bag to make a pocket for my graph journaling card and then added a Date Die Cut as a pull out.
Day 12
This legal pad page came with the green polka dotted washi tape already attached and I just added the hexagon die cuts on top.
Day 14
This page was already stamped with the 1-5 list and I had fun with this one. See #5!
Day 15
The feather tag was included in the embellishment kit, but you can get yourself a pack of 10 here for just 99 cents and stamp to your heart's content!
Day 18
Again, I designed this page with the washi tape already attached, but I added another round date die cut. I love what I wrote for this list prompt. I should make a scrapbook layout with the journaling.
Day 20
Day 21
So many fun things here: I watercolored the stamp on the envelope flap, I added a floral page tab and tucked it all inside. The butterfly journaling card was included in the embellishment kit with this journal.
Day 22
It doesn't get any easier than this...journal inside the cloud shapes and call it done.
Day 23
I trimmed a journal card a little narrower than the usual 3" to fit inside this glassine bag.
Day 25
I used the This Week that was part of the freebie I designed for the March 30 Lists challenge and a few cardstock labels for my journaling.
Day 26
As long as my eyes are good enough to read, I'll always have a reading list!
Day 27
I love the color and design of this page and didn't want to hide it with my journaling. My solution was to use some stickers for my journaling and list prompt and have them hug the left and right sides of the page.
Day 28
I always try to use my orphaned stickers in my listing journals and was lucky enough to have the letters to spell HABITS. I used a vintage style label sticker for my list.
Day 29
The Great Idea stamped tag was part of the journal kit, but you can find sets of them in two sizes here, and I just attached it with a small strip of washi tape. Then, I used a speech bubble journal card, but instead of using it as is, I trimmed around the shape leaving part of the colored journaling card to serve as a border.
And I end out the last day of my 30 Lists journal with...wait for it...a shipping tag!
The kraft paper page flag was already stapled to the page and I just added a pink "shadow" behind it and then lettered my list prompt.
