THE SET-UP
When I was prepping pages back in August, I often pre-embellish pages as a starting off point, I realized I no longer had any letter "e" stickers left in my favorite set of Thickers stickers. My solution? Use the number 3 as an alternative which also happened to work so well in balancing out the zero I had to use in place of the letter "o." Yeah, I'm kind of crafty like that.THE LIST
September Is...- for celebrating Gordon and Mom...happy birthday!
- thinking about Victoria's and Zach's birthdays
- putting together lists for holiday activities
- the last "breather" before it gets busy and hectic
- for appreciating cooler temps and changing seasons
I used a sheet of orange file label stickers from this embellishment kit, and instead of taking them off the backing, I left them as is and just glued the whole sheet to my page. I've also used label stickers here. The two banners you see at the bottom are from the freebie printable I designed for all 30 Lists participants, you'll get a link to the file once you register.
When I looked at the colors of this first page in the mini book, I was a little worried. It seemed a little dark and I wasn't even sure I had anything in my stash to make it work. Looking at it now, I am so happy with the results. That little pop of blue on the banner and the neon orange are the unexpected and they work.

Looks great! I thought about prepping my book ahead of time but then I got busy with other things and it was almost September so I just decided to wait. The brighter colors really do pop off the background paper (which is pretty in its own right). I also like the way you have things sticking out from the edges too - it makes me want to pick up the notebook and flip right through it! (Great handwriting too!)
