repurposing your mistakes

When I let my mind wander to other things while I am working, this is what happens.

And because I'm a frugal gal and can't bear to throw away something useful, I decided I needed to repurpose my mistake and use it anyway. I used it like this for a few days and then decided that I should at least try to cover my mistakes. Duh. I have a boat load of crafty supplies, so why not use them up!

Using a shipping tag from this kit, I first punched three hexagon shapes and backed it with some patterned cardstock.

Then, I adhered it to the journal, making sure to cover up the wording that was trimmed by mistake. 

And for a little pizazz, I used one of the negatives of the hexagon shapes and added it to the cover.

See how I added a foam dot under the hexagon?

And how about those chunky pages? Love.
