It's just a collection of mostly single sided scrapbook papers in a new size for me, 4.25" x 5.50", which seems to be a great size for tucking in my purse to do some on the road journaling.
THE CHALLENGE
I challenged myself to use items from the goody bag {included with your purchase} to embellish a few pages. For the cover, I glued a butterfly near the top and decorated the yellow banner with a paper flower. I made the flower by taking several of the scalloped shapes, stapling them together in the middle and scrunching up each layer individually to make a paper bloom. If you need more info, here's a tutorial for you.
For this page, I added a Project Life journaling card and used the graph paper speech bubble and pretzel die cut from the goody pack to decorate the page.
I often add colored index cards to my mini books...here I've added another butterfly die cut and practiced my hand lettering {check out @radandhappy on Instagram} with a quote from a favorite song by Dolly Parton.
I'm a fan of documenting your grateful thoughts {check out these posts} and probably send out this die cut with almost every order. For the record, I'm always grateful for the gift of a new day.
And as I'm not one for wasting a single scrap of anything...I used the glassine bag that has all the extra goodies tucked inside on a page as well. Again, using a die cut butterfly.
Can you tell I like quotes? Using the retro style red label report cover, I added part of another song lyric from a Tim McGraw song.
USING SCRAPS
While I was on a roll, I rummaged through my scraps and found some more elements to decorate pages with. I utilized a sheet of chipboard phrases that were no longer sticky and used them for journaling prompts. Have you ever tried that?
You may have already seen this on my Instagram, but here, to add a journaling spot to this page, I used a correction tape runner. I found that my Pilot G2 worked much better than a fine line Sharpie. The G2 just glided across the page whereas the Sharpie drug on the correction tape.
Here, I just ripped varying lengths of scrapbook paper into journaling strips and thankfully it all worked out perfectly for the length of my journaling. I often get lucky like that. I very rarely plan anything out, so when it works out I smile a big smile.
Here's the journal and embellishment kit, which comes tucked inside a kraft bag.
