WELCOME to our product showcase featuring The Twinery and Bella Blvd. I have the pleasure of sharing projects with you today along with Julie Ranae, The Twinery's Design Team Coordinator.
Some time ago, I posted a photo to Instagram andSomeone commented on the photo, asking me if I was wearing a baker's twine bracelet. Well, yes I was and I do everyday! Then, when the packed to the gills box of scrapbooking goodies from Bella Blvd. arrived and I saw the collections of buttons, I just knew that I was going to make a baker's twine button embellished bracelet.
Don't they just look too cute together. Pink Sorbet twine seemed the perfect color for the button bracelet, but Blossom, Honeydew, Flax and Cappuccino would also be colors that coordinate well with the buttons. Caribbean, one of my all time favorites, was used for the gold circle bracelet which I wear everyday. The larger button is from the Pink Flora Button Market pack and the smaller button is from the Aqua Flowers Button Market pack, both from Bella Blvd.
Using this bracelet tutorial which I see no need to recreate, I followed the detailed steps provided with the exception of not burning the ends of the cords since I was using baker's twine.
So, now we have cute arm jewelry. What's next?
Let's bring funk and spunk to a lamp shade, that's what! I'll be using this shade in my craft room | office, which you see here, but have a feeling that the girls will be talking me into making one for their rooms as well.
- scallop punch your Bella Blvd. patterned paper
- add a glue dot to the center
- top glue dot with a coordinating Bella Blvd. circle punched shape
- affix foam dot to back of scallop shape to adhere to your lampshade
- add buttons tied with baker's twine to center of scallop shape after adhering to lamp shade
The top of the shade has been wrapped with baker's twine in a multitude of colors: Lemondrop, Mandarin, Lilac, Shore, Caribbean, Blossom, and Denim. The Bella Blvd. paper collection I used was Sunshine & Happiness. The striped pattern is Juicy Good Time and the lime green paper is B side of Petal Power. I used the 3 remaining buttons from Button Market Aqua Flowers and added a few from my stash.
Be sure to visit with my friend, Julie Ranae, as she is sharing one of her fabulous creations with our Bella Blvd. and The Twinery fans.
