Members of the Paper Issues Design Team have created layouts based on a fabulous sketch from the Sketch Inspirations blog.
It's a new-to-me blog, but it seems that sketches are coming at me from every direction these days. In the past, sketches have not been my "thing" but recently I have found them to be just the answer for getting the job done. You know how sometimes you just want to scrap a photo, but don't have the mojo to get it going? It happens to you, too, doesn't it?
I've already shared this photo with you, but felt that it just needed a layout, too. So when I saw the sketch, I remembered that I had some paper with that bracket shape. As I was searching for that piece of paper, I found this older collection from Colorbok that was a boy theme, WITH anchors AND sailor inspired. How could I not use it?
The journaling says, "Where has my baby boy gone? He's grown up and moved on to new adventures...he's in the Navy now!" To incorporate the bracket shape from the sketch, I used my Top Note die and a hand-me-down map from my over-the-road truck drivin' brother which I also used to punch out star shapes. And you just know that I was going to include some baker's twine from The Twinery.
Head on over to Sketch Inspirations today to find the original sketch, just create and upload a layout to be eligible to win the stash of goodies! Can't wait to see what you create.
If you can't wait to find out if you're the winner and want to own some of these goodies for yourself, visit the Paper Issues shop!
