Welcome to The Twinery | Echo Park blog hop celebrating the One Year Anniversary of baker's twine goodness! Be sure to hop to each designer's blog and be amazed at their projects using baker's twine from The Twinery and the fabulously creative designer papers from Echo Park.
You should have arrived here from Julie Ranae's blog, but if not, make sure you start at the beginning over at The Twinery's blog because there are terrific prizes for those who complete the hop by commenting on each and every blog. You'll have two days to enjoy this hop, so just relax and let's have some crafting fun!
What used to be a plain binder is now the cutest upcycled and altered notebook turned perpetual birthday | anniversary | holiday calendar ever! The stickers from Echo Park kick up the fun factor more than a notch on the front cover and any of the 14 colors of baker's twine from The Twinery would have worked in some form or fashion with this paper collection. Can you tell I love it?
Ready for more cuteness? This mini composition book came in a three-pack, making it a perfect choice for teacher's gifts, party treat bags or stocking stuffers. The bonus is that it's made with scraps left over from cutting the page dividers on my altered notebook project above. Both these notebook projects were crafted using the Springtime collection.
Be sure to stop by here at I Love It All again on Monday, August 22nd when I'll share a quick tutorial on how I made this mini notepad as well as a few more projects using Echo Park papers and baker's twine from The Twinery.
Yes, ma'am, you guessed it, this sweet card is also made with Echo Park scraps from the perpetual calendar project and some Buttercream {one of the 3 new colors} baker's twine is wrapped around the front of the card. The bow is embellished with a cardstock sticker heart.
For some reason, I never seem to have a bookmark around when I need it and this cheery print will surely not get lost in my pages of black and white print, now will it? The Pink Sorbet, Caribbean, Lemondrop and even some Blossom were used as accent borders on this quick project. I used a slit punch at the top so that I could slide it onto my page and not loose my place!
And to round-up this paper and baker's twine party, here's a layout about my youngest daughter and how she learned to read this Summer, before Kindergarten, using the Echo Park For the Record Collection which was just so perfect to document this milestone.
To add a bit of punch and to unite all the colors, elements and embellishments into a cohesive design, I pulled colors from the collection and used Cappuccino, Maraschino, Denim and Caribbean baker's twine to add even more punch...makes it fun, too! I just adore journaling spots and the For the Record kit had everything I needed {and more}. The hot air balloon is actually a cardstock sticker left on the backing and pop dots are adhered behind to lift it off the page and add some dimension. The yellow letter stickers are from the Springtime collection kit.
I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope you've been inspired to use more baker's twine in your crafty projects! Please make sure you leave a comment on my blog because there are terrific prizes for those who hop along and leave comments on each designer's blog. You'll win the Colorful Sampler Pack from The Twinery or 3 Paper Collections from Echo Park, now how's that for fabulous?
The deadline for commenting is 11:59 pm EST, Friday, August 19, 2011 with prizes being announced Saturday, August 20, 2011. Your next stop on the hop is Emiy Leiphart...you won't want to miss her amazingly crafty creations, they're just gorgeous!
