If you're here for the mini composition notebook tutorial from the Echo Park | The Twinery blog hop, welcome back! If you're a regular reader, I'm so glad you find the time to visit with me.
So, here's the notebook I originally made for the blog hop:
Let's get started making another cute one again using the Springtime collection. After gathering your supplies {notebook, adhesive, burnishing tool, scissors, The Twinery baker's twine, Echo Park papers and stickers, Crop-o-Dile and floral wire} it's time to get busy.
{ click on photo for a larger view in another window }
- Slather {very technical term} your front cover with your desired adhesive.
- Using your burnishing tool, adhere your paper securely to the front cover of your notebook.
- Trim the extra paper with either scissors or a craft knife - I prefer my Fiskars scissors.
- Slather, Burnish and Trim the inside front, back and inside back covers as well.
- Using your Crop-o-dile, punch a hole and add your eyelet to both the front and back covers.
- Using this threading tip, thread a folded length of your baker's twine through the eyelet so that you end up with the folded over {looped} half being pulled through the hole. {see large photo} Repeat same procedure for the back cover.
- Tie a not in your baker's twine {you will have 4 strands} to keep it from sliding back through the eyelet and tie it in a big, pretty bow. Add a die cut shape and some letters stickers and...
...voila! You are the proud owner of a super cute mini notebook that's perfect for teacher gifts, holiday treats for your child's classmates, a fun birthday party activity and even a fun little Girl's Night Out goody for your gal pals!
But, now for some fun stuff, how about another giveaway? The winner will receive everything in the photo below to include the mini composition notebook we just made together, papers to make your own mini notebook, a set of letter stickers, The Twinery baker's twine in Buttercream and Caribbean, punched cardstock shapes, journaling and border stickers, 2 envelopes and cards blanks as well as cardstock to create two notecards, similar to the one here.
