Isabella has been invited to several birthday parties, all by boys, in the past few months and we were not able to attend any of them. She was not too happy about that, trust me. And I neglected to send in a gift to class for the boys, gasp! So, here we are 11 days from the last day of school {yes, you heard me right, we only have 11 more days left in this school year!} and I'm just now sending in some gifts to the 4 boys with Mom's kind enough to invite Isabella to their parties.
Luckily, I had 4 gift boxes on hand {yeah, me!} so I used those. Then, I pulled out these glassine envelopes, trimmed some cardstock to 2.50" x 3.50" to fit inside and stamped a birthday sentiment on the card insert. Ideally, Isabella would have written the message, but she was at school and I decided then and there that I was finally going to finish this project up.
You can see the stages here, trading card sized insert with message, card inside glassine envelope and then birthday money inserted in front of card inside glassine envelope. I then slipped it all inside my gfit box and closed it up.
Using my stash of shipping tags that I had trimmed recently, I used some SRM Stickers to fancy them up. I loved that these stickers were cupcakes, but in green, which totally made the cupcake images okay for a boy. And that Peapod green baker's twine from The Twinery is the perfect accompaniment to the boxes and the SRM Stickers.
Okay, now on to some end-of-year Teacher's gifts.
What a cute idea Monika! Can't imagine only having 11 days left of school, yikes! We don't break up until the end of June, and I don't feel ready for that even!
