Valentine's Day is really more of a female-oriented event. Okay, they probably all are, but for this post, we're going with it. Since Gordon was out-of-town last year leading up to Valentine's Day, I decided to hide silly things for him to find leading up to {heart} day.
I browsed through my crafty project photo archives and found a few projects that are created with a male-point-of-view in mind, using more muted colors. I made the chipboard tag above so that Gordon would find it in his sock drawer...it's tied around a pair of socks with some of my more masculine ribbon. {Is there such a thing?}
Again, using my small letter stamps, I used a journaling spot from Anna Griffin and tied it off with some "manly" colored gingham ribbon onto a snack bag of peanuts. Gordon found this in the console of his truck.
This one I really like. Can you guess? He was supposed to open this on Wednesday. I punched several hearts {this one is from EK Success} and used my Crop-o-Dile to punch a small hole. I then trimmed down a ball key chain so it wouldn't be so long and tied some more "manly" gingham ribbon around the chain before inserting it all in a coin envelope.
Each heart has a different word:
my
heart
belongs
to
you
Pretty cute, don't you think?
For this card, I cut a heart shape from an out-of-date map, making sure to include our town into the shape, then added a note for my sweetie inside.
But, as we all know, any project changes its feel with a change of paper and embellishments, so take one of these projects as inspiration and make something homemade for your guy {or gal}!
